I have a '74 R17 Gordini fuel injected with a beaten up gas tank that needs either a thorough reconditioning or replacement. Any leads are very appreciated.

I had a truly awful fuel tank on my Renault Alliance , sat for 13 years with fuel . Tried 5 gallons of vinegar , basically no difference , the 5 gallons of Muriatic acid ,
be careful , slight improvement after 3 days , but the fuel filter started plugging up in a couple of days . Pulled it out again and cut a very large section out of the
top to allow me to get in with a wire wheel on a grinder , quite the task , but it's fine now . And yes I did have to replace the fuel pump also . Peter
