Hello Alberto,

Absolutely beautiful result. That is easily the best, most detailed restoration of an R17 I've ever seen. Who did the work on the car and how long did it take?

r17 gordini restoration

To all:

I did the car on my shop here in Miami, with a friend of mine who use to work 40 years in Renault around the world.
in this link you will find the car as I got it in april this year.
we did the restoration in 3 months.

we also have done a restoration of 3 bmw 700's of 1963, one convertible, one coupe and one limousine. we have accomplished this in a 6 months period, my friend Alberto Cordero and one helper, and off course myself doing all the cosmetic, plastic and epoxi restoration on hard to find parts.

I have found parts for the R17 from the following countries: Argentina, France ( thru amicale R15-17), Israel, Turkey, Ciprus, Puerto Rico and Miami from Jose Alonso, alias "renault source" here in the forum. we can get whatever you want on the R17 USA spec.

off course,we have spared thousands of hours on the car and dollars too, but the result is like a brand new car.

we have restored EVERYTHING as per ORIGINAL. all injection, antipollution, all mechanics and body as original. only the upholstery has been upgraded to leather were the car was originally in cloth.
